I created this site with the hope of creating a forum for the reinvention of nothing less than entire way we approach civic systems. All things in life move in circles and a long time ago, man and nature were in the same place. For some reason, and no doubt it happened very gradually, we slowly moved further and further away. We are truly reaching our global apogee. We will either break free of this orbit and tumble out of the system entirely or we will start our gradual return to the point where humans and nature are indistinguishable.
That is what we set out here to do. Define the point we are returning to. In no way to we advocate living in some neanderthal like existence. That would remove all the wisdom we gained going along this large elliptical arc. What we propose is nothing less that a vibrant, living city that is indistinguishable from a forest. A green city that not only doesn’t disturb the balance but is one of the strongest forces for biosphere enrichment. This is not a city of sacrifice but a city of opulence and seemingly decadent comfort. Fresh food, clean water, hot springs, cool pools, and low cost of living. In fact, living in this city should require much less work that in any modern city.
Sound a bit daunting? Well, there are plenty of things to figure out, but when you approach the problem with a Taoist lens, you look to see what the world doesn’t naturally. Instead being at opposition to this, you embrace it is natural tendency, and like a Tai Chi Master move the flow to where you need it to be. Flow, not opposition – with this come so many possibilities.
This is a forum for the exploration of new concepts in civic, domestic and lifestyle design with an aggressive approach to biosphere stability and regeneration.
